The Pretty Things

Dick Taylor and Phil May has been making music since the sixties, and they still does! Since then The Pretty Things has been working with several different musicians, mostly changing group members with every record they did. Here are some of the songs I like. A lot of their songs are too heavy for me :) Enjoy!

The Pretty Things - Baron Saturday
The Pretty Things - Bracelets Of Fingers
The Pretty Things - Country Road
The Pretty Things - Death
The Pretty Things - Defecting Grey
The Pretty Things - Growing In My Mind
The Pretty Things - In The Square
The Pretty Things - Loneliest Person
The Pretty Things - My Time
The Pretty Things - She´s A Lover
The Pretty Things - The Sun

Yeah!

Happy Birthday to me!

Another Day Of Winter

Did hardly not believe what I saw as I looked out of the window. It was snowing again. Anyhow, I decided to take a walk along the river Weser and try out my new camera. One new automatic function is the possibility to make panorama pictures. To watch them big, click on the pics!

Kutiman, Pt2

To speak the truth, I was searching for some nice music for easter but stumbled over Kutiman again :) So here is my recommendation for these cold days.

Happy Easter!

Hello there my friends. The young lady on the pic should get dressed, it is still cold here in Europe. The wind is steadily blowing from north-eastern directions, we have had days of bright sun, but yesterday snow again.
I am quite glad not being on my bicycle in England yet, even for me it is too cold to pitch up a tent :)

Soon...

In about 2-3 weeks it will be time for me to leave Germany for a long tour on my bicycle. My destination is England again, and I will be travelling for round about 7 months. Loads of stuff has to be organised before leaving, I bet you understand that :)
I have searched for some songs about bicycles, here they are.

London - Alexandra Palace Pt2

On 29 April 1967 "The 14 Hour Technicolour Dream", the biggest indoor event at the time took place at Ally Pally. Londons hip newspaper International Times organised it and loads of bands were invited to play in the Great Hall, afterwards nobody did really know who played or not :)
Here is a videos of it, and another one where Kevin Ayers talks about the event. Have a look!

London - Alexandra Palace Pt1

Alexandra Palace, called Ally Pally by the Londoners, stands on a hill in the north of London.
This building with its surrounding park was built in 1873 as recreation area for the public, but burnt down already 16 days later. In May 1875, less than 2 years after the destruction of the original building, a new Palace opened.
The worlds first regular high definition television service was inaugurated there in 1936 by the BBC.

How to make englishmen happy...

Emptying Dog, Pt4

It was a sunny day in Angmering, so we took the dog for a walk.
Straight on in directions south to the coast, turn to right and go straight ahead to Littlehampton.
I found loads of beach huts on my way and in the end a fish & chip shop. Yum! :)
