Evening Hymns Canada

I left Bristol at friday lunchtime for a week together with a friend in Dorset. The train was packed with people because of an Airshow in Bornemouth but I had the great opportunity to meet the musician Jonas Bonnetta from Canada. We chatted nicely one hour on the train and he told me about his band Evening Hymns.

In 1138 Bristol was described as "almost the richest city of all the country receiving merchandise by sailing ships from lands near and far". The wool of the Cotswold sheep, woven into fine cloth, was sold to buy wine and oil from Europe.
In the 15th century, merchants were the most important people in the city.
During the 17th and 18th centuries Bristol grew wealthy by trading weapons, textile, iron goods and slaves for tobacco, cocoa and sugar from the West Indies.

St Mary Redcliffe is located close to the city centre of Bristol. The church was constructed from the 12th to the 15th century and is a grade I listed building. It is made in gothic architecture and is the tallest building in Bristol.

Bristol - Roll for the Soul

As I went for watching graffiti I stumbled over a very nice cafe/bikeshop in Nelson Street, Roll for the Soul.

Bristol, Graffiti Pt3 - Stokes Croft

Bristol, Graffiti Pt2 - Stokes Croft

Bristol, Graffiti Pt1 - Nelson Street

I knew exactly what I wanted to do in Bristol. I wanted to check out the graffiti scene. So I asked the manager in the youth hostel, he was interested in graffiti too, and told me to go to Nelson Street and Stokes Croft, a part of Bristol. He was even able to tell me where to find the newest Banksy :)
As usual I did loads of pics. For those who likes it, here are three posts with graffiti - enjoy!!
